The University of Nevada-Reno has a lot going on for all of us to enjoy.

Mens Basketball games are very entertaining from the second you step into Lawlor Events Center.  The crowd will already be loud and cheering, awaiting the arrival of the Wolf Pack to step onto the court.  The team is fairly young, but the games have been really good and most have been nail biters up to the end of the game.  The average home game attendance is approx. 7059 screaming fans.  The next home game is will be Friday, February 20 at 6:00 pm, against Virginia Commonwealth for the ESPNU Bracket Buster tournament.  For a list of the full schedule of games click here

Women’s Basketball games are in full swing as well.  Their overall record is 13-9 and these women are really good players.  The attendance at these games are a bit lacking with an average of 859 fans per game.  I have been to these games and they are really fun to watch.  Their next home game is Thursday, February 19 at 7:00 pm and are also played at Lawlor Events Center.  For a list of the full schedule of games click here.

Believe it or not the UNR Baseball teams first home game against Washington is Friday, March 6 at 2:00 pm.  They recently were picked Third in the Western Athletic Conference Preseason Conference Poll.  The games are played at Peccole Park up at UNR which holds 3,000 fans.  The highest attendance was recorded in 2004 when they played Rice with a total of 2,627 fans.  Their overall record for past season was 34-26.  I would dress warm for the first part of the season.  For a list of the full schedule of games click here.

That’s just a few of the sporting events that UNR has to offer.  There are so many more  -  please visit their website for all the upcoming sporting events.
